Now more than ever, the attack to eradicate our Wild Horses and Burros from U.S. Public Lands is in full swing.
On Thursday, December 15, 2011, a candlelight vigil will be held in Sacramento to honor the work of Wild Horse Annie, the Wild Horse & Burro Act’s 40th Anniversary and to bring the plight of America’s Wild Horses and Burros into the public eye once again. Thirty U.S. cities from San Francisco to Central Park,Canada, Sweden, and England are confirmed for this international candlelight vigil effort.
Let’s join together with the theme of “Keep Their Light Shining”. Dress warmly and please bring:
— Votive candles or flashlights
— Signs showing support for the cause
— Coffee or hot chocolate
— Your friends and neighbors. Whether small or large, your group can make a difference.
Now is the time to show our solidarity and make it clear to the Bureau of Land Management and the Obama Administration that we are here, united and not turning back.
