A tribute to the spirit of wild horses and burros

Candles in the Window – image sets 1-8

Not everyone lives near a city  where larger groups will be gathering.  Those people have demanded that we open a page that allows them to participate in “Keep Their Light Shining”.  Here you will find images of candles that will be shining in windows throughout the world to honor America’s Wild Horses and Burros.  Send your pictures to hiddenvalleyhorse@yahoo.com or post them on our facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/groups/keeptheirlightshining/.  Admin.  will then post your pictures on this page.   Don’t wait until the 15th – Get it done early if you can.

NOTE:   The response to Candles in the window has been overwhelming.  We will open additional pages for easier viewing.  To see these additional pages, hover over the “Candles in the Window” tab and more pages will appear in the drop down menu.

Wow! This is so awesome! Beautiful idea. Of course I love Nana’s art cabin image, with my girl Oshunnah’s portraits. ❤

  4. Beautiful! So touching to see everyone responding so well to this. Glad that those who won’t have a group will be participating in this way. Maybe…no…we will light up the entire nation with all of our little lights, individual or grouped, shining brightly in every little nitch of this country! SHINE ON!

  10. These are all so beautiful, and I love the message of hope at a time when the country seems to be slipping further and further away from its promise to honor and protect this majestic creature. I’m going to get my candle in the window photo posted this weekend and will be encouraging everyone at work to participate on the 15th.

To focus on the abuse of power and overwhelming negative energy is so easy to do, especially when it is pointed at those who have no voice. Thank you for re-focusing us on the power of love and light. Together we can make a difference.

  16. So thrilled to be a part of this movement. Teaching our children to respect ALL animals and helping them to understand that man is NOT at the top of the food chain yet only partners in this journey is a beginning. THANK YOU for creating this wonderful sight– we salute you and we THANK YOU for your efforts. May we continue to let our lights shine for ALL to see and thank you Velma for your courage and for the spirit that lives within all of us.
