A tribute to the spirit of wild horses and burros

CANADA

A big welcome to our Canadian Neighbors who are lighting a candle in support of  Wild Horses and Burros.  Please post your city and province.

*the Wild Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act.

Is there an English translation for this page? My French is very limited. (I can say: ‘poutine’ though!)

    • Hi Maiji-Liisa,
if you go to the home page, it is in English.
same identical message. One girl is putting all of this together, and she was beautiful enough to include a canada page, and other international pages at my suggestion. Thanks so much for joining the lighting.

  14. Lighting a candle in honor of my gentle giant dog, Tusk who passed away recently. He was a peace maker and all other animals seemed to love him – even the horses-he will light their way in heaven. I pray we can stop their suffering on Earth. Maple Ridge, BC Canada

Lighting a few candles here in Fonthill, Ontario Canada. One for my Dusty who at 8 yrs old (1978), was sent to slaughter by my father who was upset with me and lied to me until my aunt told me in 2002 what had happened to him. My heart cries daily for him even after all these years. And am lighting candles in honor of those who have ben rounded up, lost their freedom, lost their babies from hooves falling off etc and for all those who have been needlessly killed when they had harmed no one whether on a farm or in the wild. My heart bleeds for all those who helped our forefathers and now their ancestors die for it. Dusty, I will see you in heaven one day I pray and I pray for every other horse and burro who deserves to live as free as God meant them to be. Maybe we will all meet one day. No wonder eventually there will be no country in the future, so called smart mankind thinks they must own everything including the animals willd spirit and love. Those people will have to answer to what they have done and are doing. I love you Dusty and all other horses, burros and I wish for your freedom to flow through your mane and tail. Bless you all.

  20. Candles will be lit here in the window of my West Coast cabin in Gibsons. Prayers will be cast towards the moon and the stars for the wild ones everywhere – and their tormentors, that they may come to their senses. I see the horses free as they were meant to be and renew my vow to do all I can to protect them. Love to all you angels who join together on this night. Our energy will be felt and heard!
